Numbers can be tough and hard to accept, but as many of statistics and Six Sigma courses say, the statistic can be used according to convenience of every one, positively or negatively. My question is, ¿is USA living a crisis? By the way and examples I have lived during my last years of my life I can say the opposite and USA will remain being a potential power in spite of the fact the last negative numbers showed.

When you compare the numbers between 1950 and 2000 it is easily to determine there was a huge growth, obviously, after two world wars and starting again from the beginning each minuscule and positive change will be seeing enormous. So, compare the 50s and the first years of 2000 it is complicated.

The charts and tendencies show a negative slope and stagnation during the first decade of 2000 year. However, is that really a fall? During this season I consider that many of the technologies companies appeared or consolidated as the most important of the world, Apple, Google, Tesla, Facebook and Microsoft. As additional data, from the 10 most admired ranked companies in the world, 9 belong to United States. Many countries of the world wish to have at least one of this to improve their GDP. Also, these firms offer good benefits to work there.

Most of the people in México and many other foreigners I´ve met in my life have one wish in common, to work abroad, especially in USA. The labor market is super big for every kind of specialties. Now I have friends and family working there, in Amazon, Google, Microsoft and General Motors. A similar phrase everyone has is, “our quality of life has been improved, and furthermore we have more opportunities due to the preparation companies are giving us”.

Besides, USA has one of the best educational levels in the world. Who would not like to go to Harvard or Stanford? Maybe you can have as partner the next Bill Gates or Mark Zuckenberg. These institutions generate a big amount of CEOs and millionaires in the world. Related to technologies, Berkeley and MIT can be found. More than universities, these are temples where competency for innovation and entrepreneurism can be found in the air.

Combining what I´ve seen in my last 15 years of my life, having the best institutions and companies of the world, USA has focused in keeps developing an intellectual capital instead of have a manufacturing labor force. A clear example is the quantity of patents registered per year; in 2015 they did around 300,000 new patents.

My question is, are they really in a crisis? I don´t think so, meanwhile countries as Mexico and Brazil accept their factories to manufacture their products due to the cheapest labor force and their intellectual capital constantly growing, USA will be ruling the world economy and they will remain a great nation. Which crisis? No, this stagnation is temporary.
